I uninstalled and reinstalled this version without success. we highly recommend to get the latest version from the MakeMKV website. I did plan to purchase a license for this program sometime very soon even though I don't need the Blu-Ray functionality but I definitely consider this current problem one that the author needs to address and prevent from occurring in the future. I just downloaded the latest version of MakeMKV (1.5.2 BETA) and whenever I try to run it it says: 'This application version is too old. Software is either expensive, hard to get or pretty much non-existent (Linux). Yes, I could screw around with the system clock/date just to get the program to work but I refuse to do that. I installed the last version about 1 weeks ago ish (not 60 days) I got the message that the version is to old so i updated to the latest version. Regardless of that I found myself unable to launch the program yesterday to quickly rip an SD DVD to an MKV on my HDD so that I could stream it to another device. I've never used the program with a Blu-Ray at all nor do I have the need. I wonder if there is a solution to this by now I'm going through this trouble every three months even though I have a purchased license. Opening MakeMKV, which no longer had the 'application is too old.' notification.
Personally, I use the software for quickly converting my SD DVDs to MKV and have no need for the Blu-Ray capabilities. Set back PC date to 2 weeks before (I used the 5th). Unfortunately, the author has failed to release an update before the expiration which is a serious annoyance.
